A rational human being will like to be successful in his or her career. We have seen people that triumph more than their fellows in their various field of life. Has it ever occurred to you that some people speak even after their death? Have you heard the following names before? Sir Isaac Newton- A great scientist in his time, Henry Ford (1863-1947)- The man who started the car business, Thomas Jefferson (1743-1828)- The third president of America and John Wesley (1703-1791) A renown Evangelist. These people had died several years ago yet they still speak on. Why? Because they were mighty men of valour in their times, they were heroes and they were champions.
WHO IS A LEGEND? A legend is a hero. A man found so impressive. He is powerful, strong and brave. He is associated with anything good and he has stories of success, victory, breakthrough and holiness. He is a GREAT man.
WHY BEING GREAT? God is interested in it. He is interested in the prosperity of his children. His plan for us is to have peace and live a fulfilled life. Reference- Psalms 35:27, Jeremiah 29:11
HOW TO BE GREAT: There are two things in becoming a great man.
- You must be diligent. You must work hard because it takes force to be first. If you really desire to be successful, you will spend your time and energy to work at it, work is the miracle ingredient that turns your talents into a highly developed skill. Reference- Proverb 22:29, 10:4, 13:4
- You must also be wise. Wisdom is the principal thing. It is the most important of all you need to become a legend. It is the inspiration to create good things. It is the insight to make things happen, to make changes and to solve problems of life. Reference- Proverb 4:7, 16:16, Ecclesiastes 9:18
HOW TO GET WISDOM: It is God that gives wisdom and it is for only those who fear Him. To fear God you must hate sin and keep His commandments. Reference- Proverb 2:5-6, 8:13, 9:10, 10:27, 14:27, 16:17, 19:23, 1st Chronicles 29:11-12, John 14:15-16, 1st John 3: 22-24.
Conclusion: For you to be a legend you have to be wise and you must also be diligent. Wisdom is the principal thing and you can only get it from God. Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it- Psalms 107:1a. Only the Almighty can make you to be mighty.
