No matter your condition and circumstances, God can change your situations for better. He wants you to have the abundant life. You can have an encounter with Him, and life can be good. However, you must take certain actions before you can see God in action. The first of such actions is to move closer to God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. The bible says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33; John 3:36).

There is nothing you can give God that can be more than what you will get from Him. So it is wisdom to give Him your life and your time. God wants you to serve Him, He loves you and wants to fellowship with you every day. The book of Job 36:11 says “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures”. So total obedience is key, as you cannot serve God the way you want but the way He wants.

After the salvation experience, determine to live a holy life and pray fervently to claim all the promises and prophesies of God concerning your life. Never allow anything to hinder or distract you from worshiping God. Some no longer attend church as they give flimsy excuses, forgetting that the reason(s) why they decided not to attend is the same reason(s) why they should approach the altar of God. Because the word of God says “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Mark 10:27 also says, “…..for with God all things are possible.” So it is better to reach out to the One who can solve all your problems than to seat at home and continue with the problems (Hebrews 10:25). Also, put your trust in God; wait upon Him, love Him, praise Him, rejoice in Him, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. In a nutshell, life is good because God is good.

Finally, remember that to continue in sin is dangerous. It will expose you to the devil and hinder you from making heaven. But life is good when you are in Christ, when you do His will, when you abide in Him and above all when you reign with Him in heaven. Roman 6:23 says it all, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
